The inspiration for this project was The London Poetry Slam itself.

Ever since my first poetry slam I felt an instant connection with the art form, audience and performers. The poetry slam was not at all what I originally thought it would be.

Although I have yet to participate in the slam (other than being a judge) I have plans to later in the year participate fully. I think I have a few different things I could say that would lend themselves to the slam format, all I need to do is phrase them properly (the hard part).

Because month after month the artists pour their hearts and souls into the microphone I thought that it would be great if they had a place online where they could be showcased, hence why I wanted to help with a website.
