WEEK 08: Reflection
I’m slowly losing steam at the moment, not because of Fifty-Two Weeks but rather because of school. This past week’s project was an easier one yet I still took a bit more time than I have at the moment. I am done classes in two weeks but then I must teach for a month. The time will pass quickly, however, the projects will still come.
I’m not giving up or complaining, I’m just trying to talk things out for myself.
So onto last week’s project.
I did get to it a bit late but once I got started on it things progressed fairly well. The final product I am very happy with and I think it conveys what I wanted to get across.
After having written the biography of Michelle Roseland Gray and re-reading it I realized that a fair amount of what I wrote about her life either mimics mine (or my beliefs) in some way or touches on things that I may want to accomplish later in life.
If I were to do this type of project again I would probably make some type of outline before I started writing, that way I would have some type of structure and guidance to follow. This time I just started writing without really knowing where to start or begin.
Taking on this project from either direction has both advantages and disadvantages but I think given how I best operate, when it comes to writing, having an outline would have perhaps been the best place to start even if I didn’t follow it down to the very last detail.
