The project I just completed came about due to last week’s project and a movie that I recently watched (more details on the movie in my Inspiration piece this Friday).

Although I decided to do another painting I decided that it would be just that, a painting, and this time I wouldn’t combine any other mediums with it.

The subject for this painting came out of me watching a movie (who’s title isn’t important) and after watching the movie I felt the need to paint the image of an astronaut and a refrigerator, both as separate images.

I was going to attempt to paint the two paintings both during one week but thought that it would be a wise choice to only do a single one as I do not want to put too much on my plate.

Perhaps I will paint the image of the refrigerator later in the year, but for now I am just going to leave it. I will comment on later in the week the role which movies can play in the inspiration process.

With all of that that said, I decided to paint a simple, yet bold in colour, painting of an astronaut. That’s it.¹
